The Neighborhood

JordanCon is pleased to be hosted again by the Crowne Plaza Ravinia in 2011. The Crowne Plaza is located in the heart of Atlanta’s Perimeter neighborhood at the juncture of I-285 and GA 400. This location is ideal for out of town travelers, boasting access to MARTA, Perimeter Mall and numerous shopping, dining and other entertainment options.

To reserve a room at the Crowne Plaza, at the convention rate of $105 per night, please call the Crowne Plaza Ravinia at 888-233-9527

If you’ve made a reservation at the Crowne Plaza outside of the JordanCon block, please email jordancon@ageoflegends.net with your confirmation code so we can add you to our block. Even if you got the same rate as our discount, you should do this. We get discounts based on how many room nights we sell through our block. So getting yourself added to our block helps us keep the JordanCon budget in reasonable shape.

Travel

Atlanta is one of the most accessible cities in the world. Chances are, you’ve had a layover or two at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and have been here without meaning to. It’s just that easy.

If you’re flying: Plan to use Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. You can either rent a car, call a cab, or use MARTA to get the rest of the way.

If you’re driving
: Perimeter is conveniently located at the juncture of I-285 and GA 400, a major regional artery and is easily accessible to I-20, I-75 and I-85.

If you’re riding Amtrak: Atlanta is served by the Crescent line, which goes between New York and New Orleans and hits all in between. Atlanta’s Amtrak station is located in Midtown Atlanta, where you can easily pick up the local MARTA train to continue to the hotel area. At the Amtrak station, take a MARTA bus or a cab to the MARTA Arts Center station, 0.8 miles away. Then follow the train’s Red Line to the Dunwoody station.

If you are riding MARTA: MARTA is one of the safest transit systems in the county. Take the Red Line from the airport to the Dunwoody MARTA station. One way train fares are $2. The hotel is 0.3 miles from the Dunwoody station, and you can take a cab to the hotel for about $5. Trains run approximately every 20 minutes from 5 a.m. until 1 a.m., and the estimated travel time from the airport is 40 minutes.

If you are using a Gateway: Please let us know by carrier pigeon in advance so we can set aside a room for you to Travel into. We’d rather not upset the hotel staff with an accidental beheading.
